Photography backdrops can be used in a number of ways. The usual way is to hang the backdrop behind your cake or tape it to a wall and photography your cake in front of it, however, you can take photos from all different angles to get original photos. Try photographing from above looking down, particularly good for smaller treats and cupcakes, or from an unusual angle.

Using a backdrop to take photos of your cakes provides a professional finish and helps build a diverse portfolio of great looking cakes that you can show off to the world, whether that’s to potential customers or simply family and friends. Adding new photos is also a great way to raise your profile awareness on Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites.

To use, tape your backdrop to a wall using double-sided tape or create your own stand. For the best photos, make sure there is a good amount of natural light, then snap away until your heart is content. When taking photos, we recommend using a large piece of white paper or card as a reflector on the opposite side of the light source to avoid getting shadows in your pictures

This backdrop is printed with eco-solvent inks on the highest quality vinyl. It has a white border so you can use the maximum amount of backdrop for your photo. We personally oversee all backdrops to not only ensure that they are printed in high definition colour, but also to make sure that the finished print is of the highest quality available.

Very occasionally you may get a slight crease or wrinkle in your backdrop, but this is nothing to worry about.  To fix it, lay your backdrop on a flat surface, print side down and place a damp towel over the top. With an iron on medium temperature and NO steam, gently iron over the towel until the crease has been removed from the backdrop.

To help avoid creases, roll and store in the tube the backdrop arrives in.

Large: 135cm x 90cm - Suitable for 4+ tier cakes
Medium: 98cm x 65cm - Suitable for up to 3 tier cakes
Cupcake: 50cm x 33cm - Suitable for cupcakes, cookies and other small treats

Next Working Day Delivery (UK)

Any order placed before 4.30pm Monday - Friday (3:30pm for edible images*), with the Next Working Day Delivery option selected, will be dispatched the same business day (Monday - Friday). Orders placed after the cutoff time using this method will be dispatched on the next working day.

A signature is required for this method, so you will need to be at the delivery address to sign for it. Please allow an additional 24 hours for any order to be delivered to the Scottish Highlands. Please also be aware that any deliveries to Northern Ireland with a 'BT' postcode will usually take three days to arrive (on 2 Day Northern Ireland Delivery).

Pre-Orders

Any order containing a product that is listed as a preorder, will be held until the preordered item has arrived in stock. Orders containing a preorder cannot be split, if other items are needed before the expected delivery date, these items should be ordered separately.

Weekend Deliveries (UK)

Any order placed before 4.30pm* on Friday, with the "Saturday Delivery" or "Sunday Delivery" option selected, will be dispatched on the same day for delivery between the hours of 8am - 6pm on the selected day.

A signature is required for these methods, so somebody will need to be at the delivery address to sign for it. If the order is placed after the 4pm cut-off on a Friday, the order will be dispatched for delivery on the following weekend. Please note we are unable to guarantee any order being dispatched to the Scottish Highlands or Islands to arrive within the quoted time frame.  

*Orders for edible images have a cut-off time of 3:30pm – orders placed after this time will be dispatched for delivery the following week day.
