Traditionally a backdrop is hung or taped to wall and your cake photographed in front of it. This is a great way to take cake pictures but you can also get creative with your images. You could take a photo at a different angle or looking down on the backdrop. This will give you a totally unique cake picture and is particularly good if you are photographing cupcakes, cookies and other small treats.

Using a backdrop means you can get professional looking photos to show off to everyone. Whether it’s friends and family on Facebook and Instagram, or you’re wanting to build a portfolio of all the incredible cakes you have created, photographing them in front of a backdrop will make them look even better!

This backdrop is printed using eco solvent inks on high quality vinyl and has a white border so you can use the maximum amount of backdrop for your photo.

To use, tape your backdrop to a wall using double sided tape or create your own stand. Make sure you have a good amount of natural light to get the best photos and then, start snapping!

Use a large piece of white card or paper as a reflector on the opposite side of your light source when photographing your cake to get the best pictures.

Don’t worry if you get a slight crease or wrinkle in your backdrop, this may happen occasionally.

To fix it: Lay your backdrop on a flat surface, print side down and place a damp towel over the top. With an iron on medium temperature and NO steam, gently iron over the towel until the crease has been removed from the backdrop.

When storing your backdrop, roll it up and keep it in the tube it arrived in to avoid creases.

Backdrop sizes:

Large: 135cm x 90cm - Suitable for 4+ tier cakes.

Medium: 98cm x 65cm - Suitable for up to 3 tier cakes.

Cupcake: 50cm x 33cm - Suitable for cupcakes, cookies and other small treats.

Next Working Day Delivery (UK)

Any order placed before 4.30pm Monday - Friday (3:30pm for edible images*), with the Next Working Day Delivery option selected, will be dispatched the same business day (Monday - Friday). Orders placed after the cutoff time using this method will be dispatched on the next working day.

A signature is required for this method, so you will need to be at the delivery address to sign for it. Please allow an additional 24 hours for any order to be delivered to the Scottish Highlands. Please also be aware that any deliveries to Northern Ireland with a 'BT' postcode will usually take three days to arrive (on 2 Day Northern Ireland Delivery).

Pre-Orders

Any order containing a product that is listed as a preorder, will be held until the preordered item has arrived in stock. Orders containing a preorder cannot be split, if other items are needed before the expected delivery date, these items should be ordered separately.

Weekend Deliveries (UK)

Any order placed before 4.30pm* on Friday, with the "Saturday Delivery" or "Sunday Delivery" option selected, will be dispatched on the same day for delivery between the hours of 8am - 6pm on the selected day.

A signature is required for these methods, so somebody will need to be at the delivery address to sign for it. If the order is placed after the 4pm cut-off on a Friday, the order will be dispatched for delivery on the following weekend. Please note we are unable to guarantee any order being dispatched to the Scottish Highlands or Islands to arrive within the quoted time frame.  

*Orders for edible images have a cut-off time of 3:30pm – orders placed after this time will be dispatched for delivery the following week day.
